Course Description:
Most clinicians can read a saliva report, but few know how to act on it. This immersive session connects the dots between microbiome data and clinical decision-making, using salivary diagnostics to guide personalized periodontal and peri-implant care. You’ll discover how to choose the right products and therapies based on the unique bacterial profiles. In this 3-hour Pankey online course, you’ll learn to turn lab reports into clear treatment protocols that elevate patient outcomes, case acceptance, and your own confidence in managing complex biofilm-driven cases.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify key oral microbiome patterns from salivary diagnostic reports and correlate them to clinical treatment.
- Compare product categories (antimicrobials, probiotics, dessicants, oxygenating agents, immune modulators) and their specific effects on bacterial complexes.
- Develop saliva-guided protocols using a “Data-to-Decision Matrix” that aligns test results to therapeutic interventions.
