Course Description
In this 2 hour webinar, the details of properly designing a Pankey Orthotic, digitally, will be discussed in detail. A look at the various software programs will be discussed for designing splints, and the advantages and disadvantages of each. 3 other splint designs will be discussed, and when each appliance may be considered. Special emphasis will placed on when a mandibular appliance should be used, how to deliver these appliances, how to dial in the occlusion, how often the patient should be seen, and how to know when your patient is stable. Additionally, a recommendation for an optimum print resin will be discussed, and how to nest the appliance to eliminate post printing clean up. Lastly, a business model for treating TMJ patients will be covered, to know how to appropriately charge for your time.
