Dr. Rachel Poulsen

Dr. Poulsen is dedicated to providing comprehensive dental care to patients of all ages, from infants to adults, with a particular focus on frenectomies, growth and development and airway. As a member of the International Affiliation of Tongue Tie Professionals (IATP), she has been a preferred provider for diagnosing and treating oral restrictions for the last ten years.

Dr. Rachel Poulsen has been a proud resident of Indiana for many years, having grown up in Indianapolis. After attending Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee, WI for undergrad, she came back to Indiana to attend Indiana University School of Dentistry, graduating with honors in 2009.

Upon completing her dental education, Dr. Poulsen furthered her skills in the prestigious one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program at the University of Florida in St. Petersburg. It was during this time that she was introduced to the Pankey Institute and the Dawson Academy.  She continues to expand her knowledge and expertise through ongoing studies and participation in several local and Pankey-based study clubs.

In recognition of her excellence in business and community service, Dr. Poulsen was honored as a member of the Michiana 40 under 40 class of 2016. Her commitment to her profession is further demonstrated through her completion of the Pankey Scholar Program, where she exemplified dedication to her team, patients, colleagues, family, and the Pankey Institute.

Dr. Poulsen has been happily married to her husband, Michael, since 2005, and they are blessed with two sons and a daughter. Outside of her dental practice, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, cheering on her children in their various sports and activities. Dr. Poulsen’s other interests include volunteering at her church, biking, competitive Taekwondo, and exploring new destinations with her loved ones.
