Neuro Articular Regenerative Kinetics: Self-Care for Dentistry
Mr. Paul Kelly
Paul Kelly is an NCBTMB Approved Continued Education provider and owner of The Temple Human Performance Center in Knoxville, TN. Paul has been a clinician and teacher for 3 decades and brings a wealth of knowledge from manual therapy, sports medicine, and exercise science to his upbeat, dynamic, hands-on presentations. His passion is to help educate manual therapists and health care professionals so they might tap into a greater understanding of how exercise, movement science, and manual therapy can help with longevity.
He continues to stay on top of the latest research and developments in all areas related to manual therapies, sports performance, neuroscience, nutrition, movement, pain science, and human performance related issues.
Paul graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in exercise science and sports medicine and later worked with rehabilitation and sports injury at the University Athletic Training facilities in the strength and conditioning program for five years. He was a scholarship athlete in college and has competed nationally.
Paul received his LMT from the C.O.R.E. Institute for Structural Integration. In 1999, Paul met Erik Dalton and became fascinated by his osteopathic based manual therapy and how to restore proper musculoskeletal balance. Paul mentored and worked with Erik Dalton as his senior instructor for 20 years teaching Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques and incorporating his own corrective exercise techniques to help improve outcomes for LMTs.
In 2016, Paul put a name to his techniques, Physiokinetix Training; a four-level progressive, evidence-based program used on the therapy table and for self-care along with manual therapy. This pain management, performance system is easily incorporated into any type of healthcare practice to improve client’s longevity and resilience.
Paul’s passion for knowledge in evidence based human performance related issues has propelled him forward giving him the opportunity to work with professional and collegiate athletes, geriatric clients, and children.
Description
Discover a clinical, evidence-informed approach to managing the physical demands of dentistry through regenerative self-care. This session addresses the musculoskeletal stressors most prevalent in dental professionals—such as chronic neck, shoulder, and back pain—by teaching practical, science-based techniques that promote mobility, reduce strain, and build long-term physical resilience. Learn how to implement a self-treatment model that supports career longevity, daily function, and sustained clinical performance.
Learning Objectives
- Understand the role of neuroarticular and neuromuscular imbalances in chronic pain syndromes commonly seen in dentistry, including forward head posture and shoulder dysfunction, through current research and clinical insight.
- Identify and address common compensatory strain patterns related to prolonged static postures, repetitive use, and asymmetrical loading in dental practice.
- Learn quick, targeted self-care protocols (“5-Minute Fixes”) designed to restore joint mobility, reduce muscular tension, and enhance recovery—supporting physical wellbeing and career durability.
