Facing incredible pressure to excel in a fast-paced world, potential students have often felt they couldn't spare an entire week from their practices and families to attend an Institute course. Continuum courses will only require three days and nights at the Institute at a time, Sunday noon to Wednesday noon. Back to top2.2 Has course content changed? Special care was taken while planning changes to the Continuum to ensure content remained intact. The comprehensive nature of the program, both in the spectrum of topics covered and the variety of learning methods employed, has been enhanced. Back to top2.3 With the new 3-day format, will there be any change in how fast I go through the Continuum? For many participants, the answer to that question is yes. Because of newly available faculty time for follow-up with students, many of you will implement what you are learning at a faster pace. And, because you will spend fewer days away from your office for each course, you may find it easier to schedule your next visit to the Institute. Back to top2.4 Will Continuum prerequisites change? Specialists may attend ID-I, ID-II and/or ID-III without previously attending the Continuum. Back to top2.5 Will credit hours change? As a recognized ADA CERP provider and a nationally approved sponsor of the Academy of General Dentistry, The Pankey Institute must meet specific standards for each granted credit hour. Credit hours are listed with course descriptions here The AGD Protocol program has been preserved. With your assigned Pankey Institute mentor, you may complete a series of Pankey AGD Protocol exercises for extra credits. Back to top2.6 Will there be a cost savings? The new course format has allowed us to reduce tuition by 5%. You will earn the same high level of credit hours as in the past and enjoy a small financial savings. Additionally, each time you come, you will have two fewer days of lodging expenses and time away from your practice. Back to top2.7 Will class size change? We will continue to limit our Continuum classes to 24 participants. The faculty-to-student ratio in each class will continue to be unsurpassed in the profession, sometimes exceeding one faculty member for each seven students.
