Dr. Steve Ratcliff
Chairman of the Education Department
With the Institute since 1995 (as Visiting Faculty)

Dr. Ratcliff is keeping the Pankey Institute on the forward-most edge of innovative education. A master's student at the University of Wyoming, Dr. Ratcliff has spent many hours crafting educational programs that keep students interested, involved and impacted. A former student at the Institute, Dr. Ratcliff has done an excellent job of meshing valuable, tried-and-true teachings with modern educational ideals.

Education:
Graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry in 1978. After completing a general practice residency in Cleveland, he had additional hospital training, then entered practice.
Prior Experience:
Entered practice as an associate in a large group in 1981. In 1986, he established his own private practice and developed a comprehensive restorative practice in Westlake, Ohio. During his private practice years in the Cleveland area, Dr. Ratcliff served as a clinical instructor and guest lecturer at the Case Western University School of Dentistry. Dr. Ratcliff began participation in The Pankey Institute Continuum in 1991 and, upon completion of the training at the Institute in 1995, was asked to join the Visiting Faculty as a teaching assistant. His prominence on the Visiting Faculty grew, and he became a teaching associate in 2002.
Memberships & Awards:
Dr. Ratcliff is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American College of Dentists, American Equilibration Society, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of Osseointegration, and American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics. He became a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry in 1993. He has published in the Journal of the American Dental Association, the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry and Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology.

"Perspectives" column in the Pankeygram newsletter and a contributor to the Optimal Oral Health Report, produced by The Pankey Institute, JADA, Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, Dental Economics, and Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry.

Dr. Irwin M. Becker
Chairman Emeritus
With the Institute since 1984
"It is my great joy to reach students."
Dr. Becker is the heart of the Institute's educational program. Specializing in Philosophy lectures, Dr. Becker's gentle demeanor and obvious care for participants has made many feel welcomed. A true teacher, Dr. Becker has been lending his gracious hand to the Institute for 25 years.

Education:
Dental degree from the Medical College of Virginia in 1969. After serving in the U.S. Army Dental Corps, he attained his Board eligibility from the Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry in Periodontal Prosthodontics.
Prior Experience:
Chairman of the Periodontal Prosthesis of the Dade County Dental Research Clinic and Chairman of the Crown and Bridge section of the Mount Sinai General Dentistry Residency program. In 1982, he became a full-time faculty member of The Pankey Institute. In 1986, he was appointed Clinical Associate Professor of the University of Florida.
Memberships & Awards:
Member of the American College of Prosthodontists and the American College of Dentists. He is a member of the American Equilibration Society, having chaired two Society meetings. He is also a member of the American Prosthetics Society, American Academy of Restorative Dentistry, American Academy of Crown & Bridge Prosthodontists, International College of Dentists, and Pierre Fauchard Academy. He has served on the scientific investigation committee of the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry, presenting the literature review for occlusion and TMD topics.
Publications:
Published in numerous scientific journals, including The Journal of Craniomandibular Practice, Dental Clinics of North America, The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, The International Journal of Periodontics & Restorative Dentistry, The Journal of the American Dental Association, and Dental Economics, and has produced many instructional video presentations for The Pankey Institute. .

Dr. Lee A. Brady
Clinical Director
With the Institute since 2005
"I love being part of participants connecting with the fulfillment of dental practice."
Dr. Brady’s brand of enthusiasm for Pankey-style dentistry is clear to students and faculty alike. Her recent appointment has infused a freshened excitement in our educational facility. As Clinical Director, she is responsible for assisting in classes and clinical work.

Education: DMD, University of Florida College of Dentistry 1988
Prior Experience: Dr. Brady began her career as an associate in Gainesville, Fl, where she also taught part-time as a Clinical Instructor at Santa Fe Community College Hygiene School. In 1993 Dr. Brady established her own private practice in Atlanta, GA. After a two year sabbatical to be with her family Dr. Brady returned to practice as an associate in Jacksonville, FL.
Memberships & Awards: Dr. Brady is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, American Equilibration Society, Academy of General Dentistry and American Association of Women Dentists. Dr. Brady is the founder and past president of the First Coast Pankey Learning Group. Dr. Brady has been published in the Woman Dentist Journal.
