Aesthetics 1 (A1) is the first in a series of three new Pankey Aesthetics Solutions courses to be held at The Pankey Institute. This first course is designed for both dentists and ceramists. During this first 4-day course, live patients are not in attendance. Two optional 2.5-day live-patient sessions will follow A1.
In Aesthetics 1 (A1), our world-class aesthetics faculty will provide you with all the tools to diagnose, plan, prepare and deliver exceptional aesthetic dentistry. You will have the opportunity to work with experts who are well known in the aesthetics community and who also are grounded in the Pankey Philosophy. You’ll gain confidence as you participate in a wide variety of lectures, workshops, and hands-on experiential learning modules designed to help you down your path to success in the comprehensive practice.
You will learn:
- Smile analysis and design
- The marriage of function and esthetics – the musts for successful cases
- Why photography is indispensable for aesthetic cases
- Hands-on clinical photography techniques
- Direct composite layering techniques for depth and beauty
- The “trial smile” direct composite mock-up
- Materials: essentials for adhesive dentistry, bleaching and new technology
In Aesthetics 2 (A2), you will refine your patient's work-up with the faculty, do a trial smile (composite mockup), and then complete preparation and seat provisionals under faculty guidance while you and your patient are at the Institute. Five weeks later you will return to The Pankey Institute for Aesthetics 3 (A3) and seat the porcelain restorations, which have been prepared under the supervision of Matt Roberts in his Idaho lab by the participating dentist’s ceramist or by one of Matt’s ceramists.

Aesthetics 1 Tuition: $6,500
Tuition includes double occupancy lodging in Pankey's condos (single occupancy subject to availability).
Aesthetics 1 Sessions are Sunday 1:00 PM to Thursday 1:00 PM.
