Harvey Trautenberg was owner of a successful real estate company and has a lengthy history in real estate management, development and health care. Cris Casanueva, Director of Operations
Cris manages lodging, spearheads many projects (including construction, facility usage, Alumni and Triple Plus Club meetings, outreach seminars and other special events). Jackie Robinson, Director of Student Services
When you visit the Institute, Jackie will be one of the first people you see at the Student Services desk. Jackie assists students in registering for future classes, works with Visiting Faculty, and supervises the Student Services Department. Pauline Shaw, Director of Marketing & Publications
Pauline Shaw is our publications manager, membership administrator for the L.D. Pankey Alumni Association, CRM database administrator and web master. She has been with the Institute since 1998. Diego Oquendo, Clinical Director
Diego has been with the Institute for 25 years. His responsibilities include assisting the Education Department in all aspects of the education experience, both for Visiting Faculty and students alike; coordinating Clinical and Laboratory activities to provide students with an exceptional hands-on experience. Mark Collis, Resource Center Manager
Mark Collis has been with the Institute for 27 years. As Manager of the Resource Center, he assists students in obtaining the equipment and materials they are exposed to in classes. Virginia Aleman, Executive Assistant
Virginia works closely with the Board of Directors and Advisors along with coordinating events for the various Pankey Committees. She is also the point person for the accuracy and accounting for gifts to our Class One Triple Plus Club and our Capital Campaign and urges students to contact her with any questions or concerns they may have about their gifts. Jefferson Gongora, Clinical Assistant
While you're here, you'll see Jefferson in the second floor Clinic or the Pankey Store. Jeff helps the students while they are in the Clinic and when the students need items from The Pankey Store. Jack Klavans, Dental Technician
After spending 20 years in the food service industry as owner of three coffee sub shops, Jack Klavans changed careers and became a Dental Technician. Since 1991 Jack has been with the Institute, beginning part-time pouring models, and then becoming Laboratory Supervisor.  Jack was born in Norfolk, VA and raised in that area. After high school, he apprenticed as an optical lens technician, then moved to Miami in 1970. Jack can usually be found in the lab here at the Institute, mounting and pouring models, and preparing for the next class. Carla Pina, Marketing & Communications Associate
From November 2003 to March 2009, Carla Pina was a member of our Student Services team. Recently, she moved to the Marketing & Communications Department, where she assists Pauline Shaw. Carla has a Marketing degree from Florida International University in Miami and has worked in the Public Relations and Language Services fields.  At the Institute, you'll find her on the third floor.
